MARGATE have announced the departure of manager Mark Stimson.
The former Southend United and Canvey Island player had been in charge of the Kent club since early December.
But Stimson was unable to keep Margate in the division.
And, following this afternoon's 5-3 defeat at Billericay Town, Margate have opted to make a change.
A club statement said: "Margate Football Club can confirm that following relegation from the Isthmian Premier Division, it will be opting to part ways with manager, Mark Stimson.
"The search for a new manager will start immediately, as we aim to bounce straight back up, and we will update supporters with more information when possible.
"The club wish Mark all the best in the future."
Margate finished the season 19th in the table.
