RIDERS have been enjoying the views on Adventure Island's newest attraction.

Vertigo, the appropriately named drop tower at the Southend attraction, opened to the public yesterday.

Thrillseekers have been pictured high in the south Essex skies as they enjoyed the new ride.

The pictures show the riders at the top of the 38m drop tower, which albeit scary for some, provides some stunning views of the area.

Marc Miller, managing director for the Stockvale Group joined the firm’s head of engineering in Italy in March to test out the ride which was constructed and kitted out in Adventure Island logos before being delivered to Southend.

The "thrilling" 16-seater ride is even taller than the City Wheel attraction, which opened to visitors in December 2022.
